The Ornamentation of an Altar

Altar frontal—consists of fabric which covers the entire front of the altar unless the altar is duly ornamented.

Reliquaries—are ornate containers of authenticated relics of canonized saints.

Flowers—are optional, great for feasts and forbidden on days that require violet or black vestments.
