Novena to the Holy Face of Jesus
Dear League of St. Martin and Friends,
Please forward to family and friends. Tell people to look in their junk mail.
Sister Mary of St. Peter said, "In the early ages of the Church, the Lord raised up an army of courageous soldiers to combat the enemies of the Holy Land...the same Lord demands courageous soldiers to defend His Holy Name." Join me as we place the League of St. Martin under the protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary with:

Consecration under the title of Our Lady of the Holy Name of God on Shrove Tuesday, March 1, 2022
Consecration to Our Lady of the Holy Name of God
The League of St. Martin has been around for five years. "But to succeed in this pious undertaking, we must address ourselves to the glorious Virgin Mary with a boundless confidence. Beg her to place herself at the head of this holy army, she the General of the armies of the Lord, more terrible than an army set in array!" --Sr. Mary of St. Peter.
After speaking with my spiritual father I realized more clearly the need to place the League of St. Martin under the protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary. He confirmed we use the title, "Our Lady of the Holy Name of God."
At Noon CST on March 1, Shrove Tuesday, pray with me the prayer: A Crown to the Glory of the Holy Name of God for the Reparation of Blasphemies Under the Protection of Our Lady of the Holy Name of God. (Manual pp. 220--222. Or click the button below.)
His Eminence Cardinal Burke to Offer Holy Face Mass
On March 1, the Feast of the Holy Face, Cardinal Burke will offer a TLM, live online, from his private chapel in Rome. Go to the link found at the button to participate.
Mass of the Holy Face
The text for the Mass can be inserted into the Roman Missal. During the Pontificate of Pope St. Pius X, and with his approval, the Sacred Congregation of Rites Decreed the Mass of the Holy Face of Jesus in the Decreta, vol. 1910, p. 189a. On April 17th, 1958, Ven. Pope Pius XII extended the devotion by approving the observance of the Feast of the Holy Face on Shrove Tuesday (Tuesday before Ash Wednesday). Priests, you may attach it to your Roman Missal. Lay faithful, ask your priests to say this Mass and give them a copy of the Mass. Click below to get the text of the Mass. This year Shrove Tuesday is March 1st, 2022.
Private Chapels
As the need for private Masses increases, so also the need to provide spaces for priests to say Mass on their day off. Go to the link to see the dimensions to build an altar. Please send me pictures of private chapels that I might place on the website.
TAN Direction
TAN Direction launched a web site where spiritual authors are asked to write about the spiritual life. I was asked and wrote my first article, "What is Spiritual Direction." Go to the link to see more.
Varia
My friend Fr. Jeffery Jambon published his debut Ignition Meditations: A Perspective from Tradition. After reading the text, I think this is a very practical book for anyone to take on a self-directed retreat. It is simple and helps the reader see how to live out scripture in every day life. I highly recommend purchasing the book from his publisher at the button below.
How to Become of Member of the League
In the turmoil of the world, we need to place our confidence in God and the protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary as Our Lady of the Holy Name of God. "For the battle," said Jahaziel, upon whom the spirit of the Lord came to rest, "is not yours, but God's!" (2 Paralipomenon 20, v. 15)
